Working Schedule

At Wanaka Medical, our doctors will consult with you regarding your contraceptive needs and prescribe the appropriate method for you. There are a number of contraception methods, most of which can be provided here at medical centre:

  • long-acting reversible contraception, such as the implant or intra uterine device (IUD).
  • hormonal contraception, such the pill or the Depo Provera injection.
  • barrier methods, such as condoms.
  • emergency contraception
  • fertility awareness
  • permanent contraception, such as vasectomy and tubal ligation

It is important to understand that your needs will change over time depending on your age, health and lifestyle. If your situation changes, consult your doctor before adjusting your contraception.

These visits may be free if you are under 22 years – refer to Sexual Health.
